Brooks and her husband make appearance at court following charges of conspiring to pervert the course of justice.
The former chief executive of News International, Rebekah Brooks, appeared in front of Westminster Magistrates' Court today, on charges of conspiring to corrupt the course of justice. She was joined by her husband and four former colleagues, including her former personal assistant Cheryl Carter, who face the same charge.
Brooks was told that she must wait a fortnight before she can defend herself against accusations of concealing documents and information believed to be relevant to the phone-hacking scandal. The case will be heard at Southwark Crown Court on 22 June.
The charges, which Brooks denies, were alleged following investigations by the phone-hacking inquiry conducted by Scotland Yard, Operation Weeting.
